Tiger Looks to be back.

I think today the top story in my mind was Tiger Woods performance at The Barclays played at Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey. Just a day after his Divorce from Elin Nordegren Tiger shot a first round leading -6 65. He looked to be back on top of his game for the first time since his life spiraled out of control in Novemeber of 2009. I think now that his mind can be off the Divorce he can concentrate more on his golf game and get back to his dominance that we are so used to seeing. Tiger made birdies on 1,3,5,7 on the front side shooting 31, he gave one back on The par 4 12th but then made back to back birdies on 13 and 14 and finished his round with a birdie on 18! Vaughn Taylor also shot an opening round of 65 and has a share of the lead with Woods. Adam Scott, Ryan Palmer and Brian Gay are 1 shot behind at -5.

Moving on to NFL preseason. A huge match up just wrapped up tonight in Green Bay. The Packers played host to the Indianapolis Colts for a very big preseason game. I think this could possible be two teams that will be meeting in February at Cowboy Stadium. Although it was a preseason game they hype was pretty big for it. The outcome was in heavy favor for the Packers. Green Bay won 59-24! Aaron Rodgers has looked better then ever, even though it is early preseason. Tonight he went 21 for 29 for 195 yards and 3TD passes. If he keeps up this play Green Bay is going to be a force in the NFC and a contender for sure. Although the score might not show, Peyton manning had a good performance as well going 15 for 26 for 214 yards throwing 2 TD's but throwing 1 Int. Since this is a new blog just to let you all know, I actually am a Green Bay Packers fan, that isn't the only reason i was blogging about this particular game. I thought it was a very big game this early in preseason.

That's all i am going to cover tonight. This is only the first night for me blogging. But like i mentioned i am only going to pick a handful of games or sports topics to discuss for the night. Feel free to leave your comments or feedback! It will be much appreciated. I will also get deeper into topics that intrest me in the sports world. If you have a topic you would like me to blog about feel free to let me know!
Signing off for the evening
Ryan Frank
